Russian School No. 1 in Amsterdam is the oldest not only in the Netherlands, but also in the entire Benelux. In 2023, the school celebrated its 30th anniversary. Over the years, our school has become an important part of the Russian-speaking community and an example for other Russian schools in the Netherlands.
Since its first days, the Russian School in Amsterdam has offered an educational program in Russian language and culture for bilingual children from mixed marriages and families of immigrants from Russia and other countries.
The doors of our school are open to children of all ages. The continuous educational cycle allows us to support your child's development at all stages of growing up. School education begins with preschool educational groups for children aged 3-5; and our "senior students", aged 17-18, continue to attend classes while studying at higher education institutions and universities.
Compulsory subjects are perfectly complemented by creative arts lessons. The educational program includes lessons in Russian language, literature, reading, writing, communication skills, geography and history of Russian culture. The teaching methods, developed as a result of many years of experience, help our students achieve significant success in mastering Russian verbal and written speech. This program is harmoniously complemented by creativity lessons.
Russian School No. 1 in Amsterdam fruitfully cooperates with the Department of Slavic Languages and Cultures at the University of Amsterdam.
